BT carries out the import, export and distribution of agricultural products and raw materials that are important for human and animal nutrition. Sunflower and oil, sunflower meal and soybean meal as feed inputs, and corn, wheat and barley among cereal products are the prominent products.

Sunflower Oil

Sunflower oil is one of the four most produced vegetable oils in the world. Sunflower oil is obtained from the seeds of the sunflower plant. It is a light yellow and light vegetable oil. Although sunflower oil, which contains a lot of unsaturated fatty acids in its structure, is generally used for food purposes, it is also used in the production of biodiesel and in the pharmaceutical industry.

Sunflower Meal

The remaining substance after the oil is taken from the seeds of the sunflower is called the pulp. It is a very important raw material in the animal feed industry. Sunflower meal has a high protein percentage (28% for Hulled Seed Meal, 42% for Hulled Seed Meal) and is used in the food rations of livestock and poultry. Compared to soybeans, sunflower meal contains lower energy and lysine but higher fiber and methionine.

Cereals (Wheat, Barley and Corn)

Cereals are the general name of the seeds of these crops harvested with plant products such as Wheat, Barley, Corn, Oats, Rye and Rice. Grains, which are the main food sources in the world, can be either as seeds or processed and consumed as flour, bran, starch or oil. Grain trade refers to the local and international trade of other food grains such as wheat, barley, corn and rice. Grain, unlike other agricultural products, is an important trade item due to its easy storage and transportation with limited spoilage. The supply and trade of healthy grains is important for societies and plays an important role in animal feed for animal husbandry as well as providing a caloric basis for most food systems.
